“pray without ceasing” ~ I Thessalonians 5:17
I’ve been trying to figure out lately how I can have, for lack of a better term, a more contemplative mindset. Most of the time, I just wish I could run away and have a few days to sort things out with just me and God, but that really doesn’t seem like it’s going to be a possibility for a long while.
So I’ve started looking for ways and places that I can add more meditation, prayer and reflection to my life. And guess what I’ve discovered? I spend a lot of time in my car. And all that time can be put to really good use, if I so choose.
So I’ve hunted up some quiet, spiritually inspiring music and I’m trying to make my car (of all places!) someplace that I can have a little downtime with God.
And even though it sounds crazy, time in my car (which is now time with God) seems to be making me a saner person.
