“Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.” ~ I Corinthians 9:26-27

The past two days have been very busy for me.  So busy that I didn’t even have time to write my blog yesterday (so busy that I didn’t even know that my internet was out yesterday, so I couldn’t have posted to my blog even if I’d written something).

However, it wasn’t aimless busyness.  It meant getting a lot accomplished.  More than I would prefer in such a short amount of time, but many appointments were important.

We need to take the same focused approach with our walk with Christ.  As Paul says to the Corinthians, we shouldn’t just run aimlessly.  We need to run after the prize – keeping our focus on what’s most important in life: Jesus.  The most important appointment that I should have on my schedule is time spent with Christ, doing things for Him.
