A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.
~ Psalm 68:5

Sometimes I feel like I have no idea what I’m doing. It’s incredible how feet that fill such tiny shoes can make me feel so helpless.  But I take one look at my husband’s shoes and realize I have no idea how to raise a son.  I don’t know how to teach him to grow up to be a man like his daddy.  I was counting on him to be here to teach our little boy what it means to be a man after God’s own heart.

All I can do is pray.  Pray that God will keep the promise He made to me through David’s words in the book of Psalms.  Pray that God will provide all that I need to be the best parent I can be.  And I can ask you to pray as well.  Pray for the two of us.  Pray that God will provide awesome male role models for my little guy.  And while you’re at it, pray for all the little boys in the world who are growing up without the help of a earthly dad.
