“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” ~ Philippians 4:4

Have you ever noticed what a great smell sunshiny weather has?  I don’t know what it is, but there is something about the smell of fresh air and pine, or a recently mowed lawn, that is just unlike anything else.

The weather here is gorgeous today – it’s unseasonably warm and just lovely outside.  And maybe it’s all that extra vitamin D that has me feeling a bit more cheerful than I’ve been in a long time.  The sunshine makes running errands feel more fun and the salad I had for lunch taste yummier.

It makes me give extra thanks to God, too.

I think we often get bogged down in the muck of every day life and it can be hard to see all of the wonderful things God has put into our world.  It can take time to pull ourselves up enough to look around and see the loveliness that can get overrun.

Be thankful today for something – anything and everything you can find in your life to give glory to God for.  And as Paul says, not once, but twice in this verse – rejoice!
